The quilted inner layer, made from 100% British Jacobs wool for warmth and a lining of 100% organic cotton, adds a remarkably light weight, comfortable and wonderfully thermal quality, whilst remaining slim enough to be worn under a waterproof jacket.

The pockets are lined with sturdy organic cotton canvas to cope with full and proper use, there is a small inside chest pocket for valuables and side vents for ease of movement. The soft organic cotton twill used to line the collar is the deep purple-blue-grey colour of Welsh slate and smooth and comfortable against the skin.

This is an all season garment for gathering firewood, spring gardening, summer evenings and autumn walking, or for beating the chills of sitting still.

The sizing for all of our clothing is non-gendered. I make the Cambrian Gilet in 5 widths, each with 2 length options. To find the correct width for you, measure a comfortable jacket (laid out flat) from armpit to armpit. This will give you a comparable measurement from which to choose your gilet size, with enough room to fit a jumper underneath. If you would prefer a tighter fit, I would suggest choosing one size smaller.
Please do get on touch if you would like to discuss sizing. I try and keep every size in stock, but if I have to make one for you it may take 2 to 3 weeks. If you have any concerns over timing, please do get in touch to confirm.
