Wall mounted (holes pre-drilled, screws supplied). A simple but brilliant design, made from a single piece of wood with a 3mm slot cut through the block into which you can slide any size and shape of knife.

Made of Oak.

The ruling majesty of the woods, the wise old oak holds a special place in our culture, history, and hearts. It is the second most common tree species in Britain and supports more life than any other native tree species in the UK (WoodlandTrust.org)

The oak used in this knife rack was reclaimed from a 300 year old timber frame barn in the Wye Valley. The barn needed much repair before being converted into a home. We saved many of the timbers that were no longer sound enough to support the building. They are never the less useful in other work. The beautiful patina of this wood is a kind of magic that can only be acquired through ages.
