This is an all season garment for gathering firewood, spring gardening, summer evenings and autumn walking, or for beating the chills of sitting still.

Aside from the locally produced, 100% Welsh wool tweed of Llanwenog and Black Welsh Mountain, the quilted inner layer of our Cambrian Gilet is also, still, truly unique in the growing market for these garments; made from 100% British Shetland wool, this natural fibre layer adds a remarkably light weight, breathable, comfortable and wonderfully thermal quality, whilst remaining slim enough to be worn under a waterproof jacket. You will never find polyester here.

The pockets are lined with sturdy organic cotton canvas to cope with full and proper use, there is a small inside chest pocket for valuables and side vents for ease of movement. The lining is organic cotton.

Maggie’s is the charity chosen by the former owner of this Gilet. 100% of the money generated from its re-sale will go towards helping support those who find themselves struggling with cancer, in whatever way, at whatever stage. You can find out more about their work at https://www.maggies.org/

From Maggie’s

We’re here for everyone with cancer and all the people who love them.  We support people whatever type of cancer they have, and whatever stage they’re at.

All our support is free, and you don’t need an appointment or referral. There’s also no time limit on our support; we’re here for as long as you need us.

Our workshops, courses, one-to-one and group support help people change the way they live with cancer.

Every Maggie’s centre is a welcoming space where you can find support with money worries, tips on managing stress, and a friendly place to go when you need someone to listen. Our support is shown to improve physical and emotional wellbeing and to help people take control when cancer turns life upside down. Understanding everyone's individual circumstances is central to what we do. It means we can guide people to the support that will make the most difference to them.

There are no reception desks and no clocks; instead, we have comfy sofas and plenty of time.

Our centres have large open spaces for group activities and a kitchen table to chat to other people.

We also make sure there are plenty of peaceful corners for quiet moments and a chance to gather your thoughts.
