Woven at Melin Teifi, one of the last remaining flannel mills in Wales, which is now closed to commission weaving, sadly transforming this cloth into a piece of Welsh cultural history. Designed by us, the colours were inspired by the winter landscape of Wales; deep waters, lichen covered granite and early gorse blooms; the dark inky blue and grey of the brooding clouds, laced by the golden light that traces the bare branches of winter trees, picking them out against the heavy sky.

The twill weave, although not strictly typical of a traditional flannel, lends this cloth a beautiful drape that envelops you in the snuggly warmth of the soft fibre.

The Merino fibre comes from traditionally shepherded, high altitude Argentine flocks. The low density farming and cooler, dryer conditions mean that mulesing is never (and has never been) practised in Argentina.

Washing: Simply hang up to air, or cold hand wash when necessary, gentle spin in the machine then line dry - never tumble. Steam iron on a medium heat setting if needed.

Large: to fit chest 100-107cm (EU Mens 40-42 / UK Womens 18-20)

XLarge: to fit chest 107-114cm (EU Mens 44-48 / UK Womens 20-22)
